After sometime away from the blog and the best getaway at Mauritius, I'm back at the office and back to work!

Love the table and cool calmness of the photo above from the GamFratesi collaboration with Lightyears, promoting their lamp Volume.

'My Scandinavian Home' and my diamant posters

I just came by one of my favorite blogs "My scandinavian home" by swedish Niki, and love how she has styled her home with the Diamant & Diamant pattern posters from my webshop. I think that both the more graphic setup in the office (with the diamant pattern poster in the right top corner) and the more nature-ish feel from her living room is so cool!

Have a look at Nikis blog here and have a look at my webshop KATHAPULT DESIGNSHOP if you would like a poster to decorate your home too!

Ole Jensen for Room Copenhagen

Previous week I went to the launch of a new collaboration between danish ceramicist and product designer Ole Jensen and upcoming new danish brand Room Copenhagen. The collection consist of products for storage, cooking and serving and I had the chance to bring home some of the products. I really think the color scheme is so fresh and yet I love that I'm able to combine them with a lot of the things I already have in my own small collection of kitchenware. Especially I love the baby-blue colored jug and the shiny yellow juicer! The collection also have lovely and practical bowls in different sizes and colors, as well as cups, plates and various kitchen tools!

Nordic Night – new danish brand

Yesterday I paid a visit to the showroom of new danish – may I say luxurious – design brand 'Nordic Night'. Using the finest materials and socially conscious production methods, their handmade products range from blankets and pillows to the softest bed linen. The Nordic Night concept takes inspiration in the nordic nature and design tradition, combined with impressions from traveling around the world. I'm really in love with the lovely patterned pillows – they've got a very graphic look too – that would look perfect in my new sofa. Other than that, their cashmere blankets are truly the softest ones I've ever felt, and even though the prices range in the higher end, this is an investment that would last for years!

If you're curious to learn more – have a look at their website.

New in: Normann Copenhagen SKO shoerack

This weekend I went by the Normann Copenhagen flagship store in Copenhagen (Østerbro) to buy this cool and very useful shoerack named – SKO – for our hallway (I goes perfectly with the light grey wall! – I'll show you some pictures later when the entire hallway is done!). I love the perfect combination of the very nordic ask wood frame with the industrial look of the grey steel shelves. The shoerack is designed by Simon Legald for Normann Copenhagen – and it also comes in white. Learn more here.

Friday Wishlist – for me

This friday wishlist consist of 3 different things that is on my personal wishlist at the moment and at least the two of the wishes are classic items that you keep for a long time.

1. Been dreaming of this classic Prada Tote bag in black leather for some months now, it's a perfect clean-cut and simple, yet very elegant, bag that goes with almost everything.

2. From danish jewelry brand Jane Kønig, I think the small love tag necklace in gold plated silver is such a cute idea, and a tag with the first letter in my boyfriends name along with a diamant pendant in one chain would be a perfect match.

3. The IT book by Alexa Chung – because the book cover is pink and because I think she's a pretty cool young lady

The Tongue chair by Arne Jacobsen x Howe

Designcompany and furniture manufacturer HOWE recently relaunched one of Arne Jacobsens classic chairs – The Tongue (Tungen). The Tongue chair is a classic Arne Jacobsen design, with it's immediately recognisable characteristics of the organic wave form in the seat.
The Tongue chair was always one of Arne Jacobsens favorite chairs, but for much of it's life it has been missing in his design legacy and haven't been in production. Just until danish company HOWE in close cooperation with the grandson of Arne Jacobsen, Tobias Jacobsen, decided for it to have it's return.

Now it's back, restored, and I must say that I'm totally into the minimalistic design of it! – just as I am with a lot Arne Jacobsen's great work. And the styling pictures are amazing too – There's only ONE problem, and that is, that I can't seem to choose which color combination is my favorite.
Learn more about The Tongue HERE.

Bathroom / L:A Bruket

My bathroom has grown up – or at least it's on it's way to get a more mature look! Yesterday I bought this lovely handsoap from the swedish brand L:A Bruket who make handmade and ecological soap and spa products in the loveliest packaging. I like the very natural/rustic look of their products, and since I've only used black and white materials/colors in my bathroom, this single product gives my bathroom a totally different look. In Denmark you can buy their products in &otherstories or else go visit their website HERE.
The last picture I took (iPhone) is from their stand in &otherstories copenhagen with a range of their products. Lovely!

New in – Black stilettos

On my visit to & Other Stories last week I totally fell in love with these half-open/half-closed stilettos in a rough matte black leather with a square heel. Even though I love classics, somehow I always end up buying items that are a bit off or different, but I just couldn't resist! Maybe I should take a picture of me wearing them so you can see them in action! I'll get back with that!

Retro brass lamp

My mom and grandmother collects a lot of old things and sell them on various flea markets – yesterday she called me to tell that she had been given an old lamp from the 70's in a warm brass color from one of her neighbors and thought that I might me interested! I was, so now I'm just trying to figure out where to hang it – even though I'm really not into the retro style I think it's a great add on to the rest of the style in my apartment and goes well with all the greys and pastel colors I have... What do you think!?

New retro brass lamp from the 70's, handdrawn illustration in the back by me,
black and white diamant pattern poster by me (get it in my designshop)

Frederik Roijé Magazine rack

I totally love these magazine racks by Frederik Roijé; simple, functional and decorative at the same time. As I am the biggest magazine-o-holic ever my entire apartment is filled with magazines; on the floor, on tables, in the windows, on bookshelfs.. you name it, so I would love to display some of the most decorative magazine covers on a rack like this. I would probably go with a classic black or white one, but they're available in a lot of great colors.
You can buy the beautiful racks HERE (and by the way check out the rest of his great work!)

Line Klein x Alt Interiør

I love the work of Copenhagen-based photographer Line Klein, and today I came across her own BLOG and totally loved these pictures, she recently shot for danish interior magazine Alt Interiør. I love the styling and colors on the photos and and the sofa is just perfect! I'm looking for a new sofa myself and have had my eyes on this beautiful and simple model from danish design company &Tradition, so I think I'm gonna try to find something quite similar, since it's a bit too prizy for my budget. What's also really great about these photos, is that they perfectly demonstrate that a classic sofa in a neutral color can be styled in a lot of different ways!
