Typography Today by Vivian Lei

As earlier mentioned I really love books, and especially I like expanding my collection of the graphic design-related ones. One of the newest books on my bookshelf is "Typography Today" by Vivian Lei; what I find particular good about this (almost 400 page) book, is the amount of different projects and the  width of creativity; a lot of the projects featured use specially created fonts, some digital but many created out of materials you never thought possible for typing. A book with a high level of inspiration!

Identity by Abby Brewster

I like the slightly retro-style of the visual identity made for J.W. Hall Builders by Abby Brewster. Both  colors and patterns mixed with the use of several display-types is a risk in itself - but really works out well though...

KW Neun Studio

I really love the amazing identity work for "Brechtfestival Ausburg", made by German studio KW Neun. The mixture between the b/w photos and the bright pink really works out well!

"Borgen" visuals

Since I saw the very first episode of the danish TV series "Borgen", I've been wanting to share the intro sequence for it's amazing visuals and colors, but I haven't been able to find it up until now. - But today I did, so here it is!

#2: All I want for christmas...

Today's the 2. of december and on my wishlist today are these cute and childish embroidered and printed pillows from Soft Gallery - and eventhough I feel that owls have been overexposed for the last couple of years I would still like to get one! I've kept the basic colours in my apartment in black and white which makes it a lot easier for me to add and use colours on pictures, pillows and different accesories for the home... Prices from 550 DKK (buy them here).

99% - It's not about ideas. It's about making ideas happen.

I often visit "the99percent" (99%) website to read great articles about creativity, inspiration and so on, and would really recommend this site. The "99%" is Behance’s research arm and think tank. Taking its name from Thomas Edison’s famous quote that “genius is 1% inspiration, 99% perspiration,” the 99% includes a daily web magazine, an annual conference, and the best-selling book "Making Ideas Happen."
Through articles, tips, videos, and events, they share best practices that help creative professionals move beyond idea generation into idea execution.
The latest article I read was about "Getting Creative Things Done: How To Fit Hard Thinking Into a Busy Schedule" - a simple system for balancing meaningful creative work with a busy workschedule. Read the article HERE - and make sure to check out some of their other great articles while your there ("Tips")!

FERM sewing kit sticker on my own VW Beetle?

I came across danish firm "Ferm living" who make cute wallpaper, wallstickers and various accesories to the home, and stumbled upon the "Sewing kit" sticker which I find so funny! I probably wouldn't put it on the wall at home – but since I'm the happy owner of a VW Beetle from 1967 in a creamy color (even though it's a bit rusty after 6 years under my care), I might consider doing the same as on the picture below, just for fun...
Size: 50 x 50 cm (4 pairs of scissors and 10 meter "line") Material: vinyl, EUR 37.50
