TYPODARIUM 2011 - DAILY DOSE OF TYPE
Earlier on I've made a post about Typeface Memory Game, but now I think I've just discovered a new and better gift for any type-lover out there: a type calender for year 2011: a daily typographic inspiration from the "Typodarium", the first tear-off calendar with 365 different fonts. Bread-and-butter types and typographical baubles, character sets and punctuation marks, old masters and wild youths, favourite fonts from all over the world. The date – traditional and functional – is on the front page and on the back are background information and details, designers and sources – and even a marriage proposal! This calendar makes every day a typographical day and some calendar pages a font-shopping list. Learn more here.

Julie Nord
One of my favourite illustrators - Julie Nord - who lives and works in Copenhagen, Denmark, is currently exhibiting at ARoS with an exhibition called XENOGLOSSY. I wish I could go se it before it is closed down at November 21st, but unfortunately I haven't got the time...
Instead I would recommend others who live nearby to go see it...
Below I've posted some of her illustrations - Myself, I'm so lucky to have the "Little Red Ridinghood"(last image) as a signed lithography at home and new guests always seem to have an opinion about it - whether they like it or not...

I love searching for new, interesting fonts, and this morning I stumbled upon the fashionable and lovely "Monroe" font at MyFonts.com. An ideal font for titles, magazines, posters, logos, etc... Available in Light and Bold, $49 each.

Basanti packaging design
Really cool packaging design and identity for Basanti. I really like how the very simple logo goes so well with the choice of materials and all b/w colour scale.

Architecture magazine project by Karol Gadzala
I really love this magazine project by designer Karol Gadzala and think that the consistent use of colours and pictures are what make this visual expression so strong! Make sure to check out the rest of her work.
